Why do I verify my ID?

Every guest verifies a government ID before their first booking, the same as hosts.

How does it work?

You photograph your ID and take a live selfie. Stripe Identity checks that the ID is genuine and that your face matches its photo. It takes a few minutes.

Hosts see that your ID was verified, not the document.

Who sees my stay preferences?

Only you, unless you say yes to sharing them when you request a stay, and then only that host.
